Our first meeting

Many different life situations may bring someone to speak to a psychotherapist. One common feeling might be that things feel ‘stuck’ and it seems hard to know how to put the experience into words. Life might feel overwhelming or it might feel difficult to know what the point of it is. It might feel like no one else around understands and that there is an invisible, impossible distance keeping other people away.

Our relationships are important to us, and the connections we feel with the people we care about need to be supported and nurtured at times. This can be hard to do in practice, particularly if there has been an experience of loss, bereavement or damage to the relationship. This can leave us feeling very alone and in need of some additional support.

The first session will be up to an hour. This will give us time to think about whether it feels like we will be able to do some therapy work together. If not, I may be able to suggest another person, or another direction for you.

I work with individuals and with groups, but we will meet individually first.

We could meet in person in the Blue Lotus Therapy Centre near Redruth, or at Mudita House in Penzance, or online via Zoom.

If you’re interested in group psychotherapy, we will meet at the Falmouth Natural Health Practice rooms in Falmouth.
